Our Current Situation
ü God has blessed the H.I.M. Headquarters to be housed
in a two-building campus with a $2,000 per month
mortgage. This mortgage cost could be supporting
our international PALS instead of going to overhead.
If we raised $235,000 today to pay off the mortgage it
would free up funds for additional ministry.
ü Our PALS program needs education space for worship
and classrooms and meetings to equip the faithful. We
need to build, equip and expand current H.I.M. facilities
in Indonesia, India, Croatia, Hungary, Nepal, Nicaragua,
Pakistan, Philippines and Zambia.
ü With the rise of Islamic terrorism, secular humanism, and
spiritual cults, the need to continue the ministry of HIM has
grown dramatically in these areas of the world and at home also.
Our Future
ü Our future is a vision where HIM is debt free and can
provide additional support to our church planters, native
leaders, schools, orphanages, and training seminars for
younger leaders.
ü Our future is a solid infrastructure where HIM is able to
live and grow in positive and healthy ways with quality
people and resources.
ü Our vision is to assist and assure those who are older, that
their Christian walk, testimony and legacy will continue.
This legacy will continue by channeling part of their
resources into the Lord’s work and missions with a global
impact.
ü Our vision is to assist those who are younger to develop a
lifestyle of generosity and involvement in the Lord’s work
and world missions.
Our Plan:
ü We wish to ask all H.I.M. supporters to make a one-year
special pledge, that is over and above what they currently
give to support H.I.M. This level of support will allow
H.I.M. to take a major step forward in fulfilling our mission.
At this time of economic uncertainty we are called to take a
bold step forward. A survey of H.I.M. contributors indicates
many are excited and willing to launch this bold step.
ü Prayer, communication, discernment, and biblical
stewardship principles will be essential to all fundraising
efforts. (1 Timothy 16:17-19). Our full membership with
the ECFA assures the highest standards of accountability
and stewardship.
The Decision to Give
For many of us, participation in the Expand the
Heartland Campaign will be the largest charitable gift
of our lives. Please take time to consider the following as
you make your decision about your gift.
• Recall all the blessings God has bestowed on you, knowing
that these gifts are given to you, not for your personal use
only, but to build the Kingdom of God on earth.
• Pray to discern what sacrifice God is asking of you in
this campaign (God’s gift…cost His very Son).
• Remember HIM needs each of us to make a sacrificial
gift. We are all aware of the need to take care of our
facilities and ministries for those who are here now and
those will follow us in the future.
• Bear in mind that every gift, regardless of the size, will
be an important contribution to the campaign.
• Discuss your family’s participation together and what it
will mean to you and your greater life purpose.
• As you pray, remember all who served in this ministry
and those who have contributed to building and
spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ all around the world.
When Should I Make My Commitment?
Our Expand the Heartland Campaign will begin January
1, 2009. We ask that you make your gift or pledge as
soon as possible. We will collect funds for this effort
throughout all of 2009.
Each person or family is asked to make a sacrificial gift
to the Expand the Heartland Campaign. While there is
no set amount, we ask that each household prayerfully
consider committing above and beyond what you are
currently giving. Gifts of assets such as personal property,
real estate, stocks and bonds are also welcome. Please
remember that this commitment is in addition to what you
are already giving to HIM. Again, although there is no set
amount, the chart below is an illustration of what it will
take to reach our goal.The Bible reminds us to: Honor the
LORD with your wealth, with the first fruits of all your
crops; then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and
your vats will brim over with new wine. Proverbs 3:9-10
How Should I Give?
Each person or family is asked to make a sacrificial
commitment to the Expand the Heartland Campaign or
an investment into the future of HIM. How much you
give and how you determine what your commitment will
be is up to you and God. You may pay your 1-year pledge
weekly, monthly, quarterly, or all at once. In addition
to making a pledge, you will be able to go online and
sponsor specific ministry needs.
